As
a thank-you to our customers, Milky Way sponsored a Sunset Cruise
for 3 winners of our Lucky Draw held during our very first Open
House in January 2006. The winners were Karen See, Audrey Tan
and Sim Yen Yen. Because Yen Yen could not make it for the trip,
I invited my neighbour, Ester, and her family to join us instead.
We finally set off on the 20th August aftermany
months of coordinating (factoring in the birth of my baby boy
David in between).
It was truly a memorable outing with many pictures to testify
to the fun we had. Enjoy!

Time: 3 - 9pm
Venue: Raffles Marina
Vessel: DreamssS the luxury family yacht
Passengers: 2 staff (captain and crew), 10 adults, 6 bubbly
kiddos
Weather: Perfect... Good thing the weather held up, and the
sun and sea came out to play!
Nautical adventures took a realistic tilt as everyone - kiddies
with trailing adults in tow - bundled aboard DreamssS, that
distinctive canary yacht.
There were plenty of photo-taking opportunities (with the sunset
this gorgeous…), a fair bit of lolling about above deck and
plenty of prancing below deck.
And happily, no ‘Jack, we’re flying’ moments.
With the journey punctuated by a rustic pong of fisheries (‘Stilt-walking
kelongs’, we told the little ones) and a brief encounter with
the skyline of neighbouring Johor Baru, it was all too soon
as the day winded to an end. Balancing plates of barbequed kebabs
on our laps, we drank in the last of the crimson sun. |

The final and probably the best part of the excursion - sitting
back to watch
the sunset as the yacht cruises slowly back to the Marina.
